Meet The Owner
Originally from Laos, Chef Khim grew up in Columbus, Ohio. His love and expertise for the culinary arts was nurtured at an early age, and he honed his skills at Bangkok Restaurant (Columbus) for two years. Chef Khim later went on to prepare Asian food for a variety of restaurants including Yuki Japanese Steakhouse (Columbus) and Oishii Fondue Hot Pot (Largo). In 2002 he opened his own restaurant, Thai Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. Later he established the popular THAI 5 food truck in South Tampa which was voted "#1 Thai Restaurant in Tampa Bay for 2015" on Yelp.com, and made "Yelp's Top 100 List In Tampa Bay". With his newfound success, he moved THAI 5 to a bigger restaurant space in 2016. Chef Khim really enjoys cooking, and one of his greatest joys is seeing the smiling faces of his customers when they taste his amazing food.
